High Point (first pro national) 2024

I finally made it to my official pro motocross debut at Highpoint Raceway! The excitement was real, but the weather definitely threw in its challenges. Friday brought a ton of rain, which left the track in tough condition for race day—muddy with a hard-packed base underneath. It was definitely going to be a race that tested both skill and patience.
Despite the conditions, I was really pleased with my qualifying results. I managed to secure a 4th in Qualifying 1 and a 2nd in Qualifying 2, which earned me an overall position of 19th. Not too shabby for my first pro outing!
Moto 1 started off strong with an 18th place start. I was running in the top 20 for most of the race, but unfortunately, things took a turn when I lost my front brakes mid-moto. That setback made it tough to maintain my position, and I ended up finishing in 28th.
By the time the 250 Moto 2 sight lap came around, we still couldn’t fix the brakes in time. As a result, I had to sit that one out with a DNS. It wasn’t the way I had hoped the day would go, but there are always lessons to be learned in racing, and I’m already looking forward to improving in the next round.
While there’s still a lot of work to do, I’m pleased with the progress I’ve made, and I’m motivated to keep improving for the next round.
